WORKSHOP PRESENTER
Carolyn has worked in the field of education and training for over 30 years. She currently teaches courses in gifted and talented education and does workshops for schools and school districts on a wide variety of topics. She has been an Adjunct Professor at several different universities and has worked in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Bermuda, the Marshall Islands, Spain, Germany, Ecuador, Croatia, South Korea, China, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico, The Philippines, Indonesia and Abu Dhabi.
Her Biography is included in numerous publications such as the World Who's Who of Women, 2000 Notable American Women, Who's Who Registry of Global Business Leaders, Sterling Who's Who Executive Edition, The Dictionary of International Biography, International Who's Who of Contemporary Achievement, 5000 Personalities of the World, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World, International Who's Who of Professional and Business Women, and Who's Who in American Education. - The characteristics of pre-assessment, formative assessment and summative assessment and how to use each in your classroom
- How to monitor student progress both academically and behaviorally using the Coil Progress Monitoring Forms
- Characteristics of Criteria Cards, mini-rubrics and rubrics and how to write them
- The importance of the traditional 3R’s and the 21st century 4C’s
- How to write and use four lesson planning formats that highlight 21st Century skills
- Both days of this workshop will be filled with interactive and hands-on learning.
You will leave with several lesson plans and assessment strategies you can use in your classroom right away!
