Over 45 participants filled the Multi Purpose Hall of Brent Subic for Neil Farrelly's Creative Communication Weekend Workshop. Attendees were faculty and staff members from Brent Subic, Manila and Baguio.

Saturday morning, Neil Farrelly got all the participants up and moving as he started with various team building activities and ice breakers. A lot of highly interactive activities were facilitated to build good communication within the workplace. The exercise focused on  trust , confidence building , creative thinking and imagination.

Sunday's session focused on how teachers can use creativity and drama exercises in each of their specific subject areas. There were exercises that focused on listening and speaking skills, team building, creative thinking, body language and class presentations.

It was definitely an action packed weekend  . The participants took away many big ideas from the workshop and gave positive feedback such as :

"The big idea of the workshop for me is learning how to communicate effectively with people. This is not only a workshop for teacher-student communication but principles could be applied to personal dealings as well. It showed us how communication is very important in achieving cooperation among teammates. It also gave us the view of how insults could turn out to constructive criticism as well."

" I learned a bunch of teaching strategies that I would be useful for my class. The big ideas that gave impact to me were, teamwork, collaboration and most of all creativity/thinking out of the box."

"I was very pleased with the strategies I was exposed to. I do not think there was one exercise that could not be modified for my subject. I also found Neil's strategy toward creating student interest, engagement and involvement enlightening."

"Being active in small groups helps you to mix, feel more comfortable around others and have fun learning."
